Create an account
Welcome to Acute. Think of the platform as WordPress for immersive video: upload many formats, stream privately in Acute Pro↗, review with your team inside Apple Vision Pro, and publish dynamically to a white-label app—with no code change.
On a desktop, open platform.acuteimmersive.com↗. The login page is intentionally empty until you add content. Select Sign Up.
Enter your registration details. Required fields have an asterisk. Select Sign Up at the bottom.
Back on Log In, enter the email address and password you registered.
Open the welcome email and select Verify Email. You must verify your address before using the platform. The link expires after 24 hours, but you can request a new verification email at any time.
The File Manager is your private Dropbox or Google Drive for immersive video. Everything starts private in both the Web CMS and Acute Pro: only you, your collaborators, and Acute employees can see your organization, users, and files. Publishing always requires an explicit action.
Select Upload Video File.
Check the frequently updated recommended export settings. Acute does not impose strict format requirements, but the current file limit is 100 GB—enough for most H.265 and MV-HEVC exports. Do not upload RAW. Avoid intermediate formats such as ProRes, although ProRes is supported.
Drag the file into the Video File box and let it upload. Large files will take a while.
Choose the Format that best matches the source. This is important: the correct format helps streaming encoding succeed. Choose it before upload finishes to start encoding straight away, or choose it later and select Save & Encode.
Watch the File Manager for Queued or Encoding. Processing can take a few minutes or several hours, depending on file size and system load. As a rule of thumb, allow up to one hour per minute of video.
Give files clear nicknames so you can distinguish rushes, dailies, and final cuts. Click a filename to rename it at any time. Projects and folders are coming later; good nicknames preserve sanity in the meantime.

Use the same Acute account to stream your organization’s private files in Apple Vision Pro. Acute Pro’s navigation, interface, and features are changing rapidly and will continue to improve through the rest of 2026.
Acute Pro opens in Showcase, where platform users can present their work. Open Settings from the left sidebar using the gear icon.
Sign in with your Acute platform credentials.
Open File Manager. Your organization’s files appear automatically. If a file is missing, turn off Showing live videos only to reveal files that are not yet playable.
Choose a file with a Live Stream Status and play it. Playback uses the same controls as OpenImmersive.
Acute’s role and permission system helps teams collaborate across immersive post-production and distribution. Files remain private to organization members in the Web CMS and Acute Pro unless you explicitly publish or share them.
In the Web CMS, open Organization, then select Edit Organization.
Update any organization details. You can drag and drop a logo that will appear in the dashboard. Select Save Changes at the bottom—the changes are not applied until you do.
Return to Organization and scroll to the member list at the bottom. Until you invite someone, it lists only you as Owner.
Enter a collaborator’s email address, choose one or more roles, and select Invite.
The recipient gets a personal signup link. It registers them and joins them to your organization automatically. Until they register, they appear as Invited Member; afterwards, their first and last names appear.
Use the trash icon to rescind a pending invitation. Select a registered member to review or update their roles and detailed permissions.
Organization roles
A member can hold one or more roles:
OWNER
Can do everything. This role cannot be granted or revoked.
ADMIN
Can do everything except remove the Owner.
PUBLISHER
Can edit and publish content, but cannot manage users.
EDITOR
Can create and edit content, but cannot manage users or publish videos.
CURATOR
Can curate app content, but cannot create or edit videos.
REVIEWER
Can view private videos and add notes, but cannot create or edit them.
VIEWER
Can view all content, but cannot create or edit anything.
Leave timecoded notes while watching inside Apple Vision Pro, reply in threads, and bring feedback back to post-production.
In Acute Pro, play a file from File Manager.
Beside the back button, select the speech-bubble toggle. A semi-transparent Review Panel opens to the left of the Control Panel.
Review existing timecoded notes. At the bottom are a precise timecode, Play/Pause, and New Note—a speech bubble with a +. New Note is available to Reviewers and higher roles.
Select New Note to add feedback, or select the timecode on an existing note to reply in its thread.
Speech transcription starts automatically for a new note or reply. A flashing REC indicator shows when it is active. Use the microphone button to turn transcription on or off. You can also type or correct text with the keyboard.
Select Save Note or Save Reply. Saved notes also appear below the player on the file’s Details page—the eye button—in the Web CMS. Export CSV or EDL when feedback needs to return to the edit.
Before a video can leave your organization, create a publishing entry that connects the encoded file to its audience-facing metadata: title, description, artwork, credits, and more.
Choose a publishing path: an app—your white-label app or Acute Pro Showcase—or a private Share Link. Both start with the same publishing entry.
Open Publishing and select New Entry. The form includes information, production properties, image assets, and video assets, but only Title is required to create the record. You can leave App empty for now.
Select Create Video at the bottom. The record appears in Publishing and in Acute Pro’s Publishing Preview tab. Video and Trailer each have their own Stream Status.
Under Actions, select the blue Edit button with the pen icon. In Assets, open Video File, choose a file previously uploaded through File Manager, and select Select to confirm.
Complete as much metadata as possible when presenting to the public or customers: description, credits, poster, hero image, and the other presentation fields.
Select Save Changes. The Video Details page opens with a mini-simulator of the Vision Pro presentation. Small layout differences with the real app are possible. In Acute Pro’s Publishing Preview tab, you can also see how the entry will look in an Acute-powered white-label app.

Video and trailer stream statuses
NO FILE
No file has been uploaded or selected.
STANDBY
The file is uploaded, but processing has not started—usually because Format has not been selected.
QUEUED
The file has been ingested and is waiting for processing.
ENCODING
The file is being prepared for streaming. This can take 15 minutes to several hours, depending on size.
READY
Encoding is complete and the video can stream.
FAILED
An error occurred during processing. Acute will investigate and try again.
A Share Link is a private deep link to one prepared video. Like a Google Doc or an unlisted YouTube video, anyone with the link can open it—without an Acute account.
In Publishing, select a video to open its preview.
Select Share Video and copy the generated URL. You can now send it privately outside your organization.
In a browser, recipients see the video’s hero image, title, and logline. On Apple Vision Pro, the link opens Acute Pro directly and loads the video; when the stream is Ready, a Play button appears. On other devices—or when Acute Pro is not installed—the link shows a small web preview and an App Store link.
To revoke access, select Unshare Video. The URL becomes invalid for everyone, permanently. Sharing again generates a new URL.
Publish to Vision Pro apps without a code change or App Store update. Use your own app, or submit to an app managed by another organization. Acute Pro Showcase, managed by Acute Immersive, accepts submissions from any Acute user.
In Publishing, entries begin in Private. Select the + beside that tab, choose an app from the pop-up, then select Publish New Video in the new app tab.
The form matches a private entry, but App is already filled in. Use the Trash icon to detach the entry from the app and make it private again.
You can also edit an existing private entry and set its App field. One entry can target only one app; duplicate the entry to publish in several apps. Select Save Changes when finished.
For an app owned by another organization, open Video Details and select Submit for Publication using the paper-plane icon. The review works much like an App Store submission. You cannot edit while it is submitted or published, but you can withdraw the submission.
If published, you or the app’s curators can select Unpublish—the slashed-eye icon—at any time. Once unpublished, the entry is editable again and must pass through review before it can be republished.
For your own app, the flow is simpler: Publish and Unpublish directly, and keep editing rights while the video is live. Your app appears in Apps, and its Publishing tab remains visible even when empty.
Add content to your own app with Publish New Video or by editing an entry in Private. Select Publish—the eye icon—to make it visible. This lets you toggle content without code changes or App Store build updates.
Open detailed analytics with the chart icon beside a video in the Publishing tab, or select View Analytics on the entry’s Details page.
Publication statuses
DRAFT
The entry is private or is missing required publication fields.
READY TO PUBLISH
The entry has the required metadata and can be published in your app or submitted to an app managed by another organization.
AWAITING REVIEW
The app’s curators have not reviewed the submission yet.
IN REVIEW
The app’s curators are considering the submission.
NEEDS REVISION
The curators did not accept it. Make changes, then submit again.
